Waitlist Policy

Applications for participation in the Infant Development Program are welcome from parents and grandparents who are current students, staff, or faculty at UCLA. Applicants are usually placed on a waiting list, so it is advisable to put in an application as early as possible. Applications are accepted as soon as parents know when they will be having a child.

If you wish to apply, please make a reservation to tour the IDP by calling (310) 825-2896. Tours are limited to eight families and advance reservation is required. Tours will be held on a monthly basis, and applications will be distributed during the tours. Applications will then be accepted upon completion of the form (with verification of UCLA affiliation) and payment of the $50 non-refundable application fee. (However, because of the limited number of spaces available, payment of the application fee and filing of the form do not guarantee acceptance into the program.)

Tours will be held on the Third Wednesday of Every Month 9:45 - 11:00 am

The waitlist is currently open, and IDP is accepting new applications beginning at the May 2008 tour.

At any time, please inform the IDP of changes in your address, phone numbers, work location, or childcare needs.

If you receive notice that there is an opening available for your child, you will have 48 hours in which to make a decision about accepting the position. If you do not wish to accept the position offered you at that time, you may choose to remain on the waitlist or have your name removed. If you choose to remain on the waitlist, your name is placed at the bottom of the list for your priority category (please see our Waitlist Policy for more details).
