Information Technology in the Department of Psychology
Most of the Psych IT offices are located in or near the computer labs on the third floor of Franz Hall. Our team of 6 members works closely with other department units, the Website and Computerization Steering Committee, and Life Sciences Computing.
Psych IT Staff Members:

- Chris Nguyen, Help Desk Agent
Manages staff, resources, and projects. Liaison to other campus computing and staff groups.
Coordinates computer lab use and provides support for EScholarship, CCLE/Moodle, Mail Man, and other campus standard applications.
Takes care of all computers, printers, cameras, software, and other devices inside the computer labs.
Routes and manages the outcome of all help desk requests and provides special assistance with EM and networking issues.
Manages our Plone websites and trains others on how to update and manage content.
Provides walk-in and desk-side support for most types of computer requests.
Website and Computerization Steering Committee FY 10-11 PURPOSE/CHARGE:
Provides planning and consultation to the department Chair with regard to the department’s computer usage; makes recommendations on equipment and software needs.

Life Sciences Computing (LSC):
The Life Sciences Computing staff is responsible for networking in Franz Hall. We work closely with them to add, change or troubleshoot connectivity issues in the building.
