We support a variety of Email systems.
New employees can request email accounts as soon as they have a valid UCLA ID. Contact the Help Desk when you are ready to request your account.
Enterprise Messaging
Most members of the department use the campus standard email program called "EM," short for Enterprise Messaging. EM is UCLA's installation of Microsoft Exchange.
EM users can access their email through a web browser using Outlook Web Access (OWA). A link to OWA can be found here: http://www.em.ucla.edu
Life Sciences Email (Zetapup)
You may request an email account on the mail server managed by Life Sciences Computing called Zetapup. You can use any POP/IMAP client to read mail on this server. It does not include a calendar or global address list, however.

Distribution Lists
IT can help you setup or subscribe to departmental email distribution lists. The lists are hosted on the campus Mail Man server. Department members can learn more about our lists here, and can view the current lists here (login required).
