Know about the different user accounts used in the UCLA Psychology Department.
Users need to have individual accounts to access most of the computing resources on campus. Wherever practical, we try to standardize your login procedures so that you may use your UCLA Login credentials to access services on the Psychology network and website.
Over time, we hope to reduce the number of different accounts (logins, passwords, etc.) necessary but for now, users could be assigned any of the following kinds of accounts:
- UCLA Logon ID
Used for logging into many UC and campus services, as well as password protected sites on the Psychology website like faculty member webpages and distribution list displays. - Enterprise Messaging Account
Used for logging into your e-mail account, if you are using Enterprise Messaging. - MailMan Administrator Account
Used for managing distribution lists
