Research and Teaching Interests

In general, I am interested in the psychological and neurobiological processes underlying learning and behavior.  My primary line of research is the investigation of the production of behavioral variability in response to reinforcement contingencies and expectation in nonhuman animals.  Recently, I have also examined simple learning and attentional processes in invertebrates in a risk-assessment task.
