There are several questions which I'm trying to answer for myself.
An incomplete list follows:
- Who am I?
- Why am I here?
- What is knowable? (Epistemology)
- What is consciousness? Is it knowable?
- What is thought?
- Can anything but humans think or have consciousness?
- What is intelligence?
- Is intelligence measurable?
- Can anything but humans have intelligence?
- How does intelligence work?
- Why do I perceive, feel, think, and behave the way I do?
- How should I behave? What should I do?
- How can I live a good, rewarding, fulfilling life?
- What happens to me after I die?
- Why is it so much more difficult to know about the future than it is to know about the past?
I realize that much of the above reads like a philosophy test, but these are some of the things I wonder about and am trying to come to grips with.
I also like using computers for everything from games to large scale simulation and application programming.
