Annette Stanton: 2005-2006 J. Arthur Woodward Graduate Mentoring Award Recipient
Annette Stanton is this year’s recipient of the J. Arthur Woodward Graduate Mentoring Award.
Two years ago, the Psychology Graduate Student Association (PGSA) created the J. Arthur Woodward Graduate Mentoring Award. This award is presented each year to a faculty member who demonstrates outstanding graduate student mentorship. This is the first and only award presented by the graduate students, and the first recipient of the award, Art Woodward himself, said, "I cannot think of anything that has happened to me at UCLA that will mean more to me than this award -- its creation, and my being the first recipient."
We are delighted to announce that Annette Stanton is this year’s recipient of the J. Arthur Woodward Graduate Mentoring Award. Congratulations!
In addition, we would like to congratulate our two honorable mention recipients: Andy Christensen and Shelly Gable.
Congratulations are also in order for all those nominated: Bruce Baker, Christia Spears Brown, Paul Davies, Martie Haselton, Anna Lau, Cathy Sandhofer, Jill Waterman, and Cindy Yee-Bradbury.
The level of excellent mentorship in our department is truly outstanding. Thanks to all graduate students who wrote letters to recognize the quality of our faculty, and thanks to the faculty for continuing to support and nurture our graduate students.
Annette will be honored at the Departmental Teaching Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, May 31st, at 3:30 pm in Room 3534. Please join us!
Best,
Janet Tomiyama, Angela Chiu, Carrie Masten, Joshua Poore
