The UCLA Center for Bridging Research Innovation, Training and Education for Minority Health Disparities Solutions (www.MinorityHealthDisparities.org) is looking to employ advanced undergraduates.

Position 1 Administrative Research Assistant

 We are looking for a student who is graduating in June and able to start working full time who has strong administrative skills, preferably in the area of adult health disparities with racial/ethnic minorities.  This position requires that you have an experience of at least a year previously in a research lab performing research administrative type activities.  You must have an overall GPA of at least 3.7.  This position requires strong detailed-oriented and organizational skills.  Activities will include scheduling Center meetings, coordinating activities with community partners, setting up events, tracking accomplishments of specific aims and goals for each of the cores and visiting community sites to help with progress on specific aims and goals.  Must have strong administrative, organizational, writing and research skills.  Must be skilled in using advanced features of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, able to create scientific charts and tables, knowledgeable about APA and biomedical reference formatting, and have transportation to visit sites around Los Angeles. 

Position 2  We are looking for a junior or senior who can work 18-24 hours per week.

 Must have strong administrative skills, preferably in the area of adult health disparities with racial/ethnic minorities.  This position requires that you have an experience of at least a year previously in a research lab performing research administrative type activities.  You must have an overall GPA of at least 3.4.  This position requires strong detailed-oriented and organizational skills, must be personable and able to work with teams and students groups.  Activities will include scheduling Center meetings, coordinating activities with community partners, setting up events, tracking accomplishments of specific aims and goals for each of the cores and visiting community sites to help with progress on specific aims and goals.  Must have strong administrative, organizational, writing and research skills.  Must be skilled in using advanced features of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, able to create scientific charts and tables, knowledgeable about APA and

Position 3  Graphics Production, Web Maintenance, Software and Social Media Coordinator

 The Center develops a number of products which are to be placed on our website and disseminated to a variety of partners.  We are looking for a person who can work 24-40 hours a week developing reports, brochures and products for dissemination.  The person will post materials and update our website using WordPress, tweet about center activities, communicate with others using Facebook and provide analytics on website traffic.  You must have some experience in this area which can be demonstrated by previous employment in this area, web developer credentials, production of videos or print materials.

Position 4   Development of Radio and TV Shows

Must have strong writing and organizing skills.  Requires arranging guest talent to develop a radio and/tv show for online broadcast.  Must have experience in media to know how to develop shows, script development and online production abilities.  Must be able to work at least 10-15 hours. Should have a working knowledge of health issues.
