      • The UCLA Recreation FITWELL Program activates wellness on campus by educating, motivating and empowering faculty, staff and students to make healthy lifestyle choices specifically in the areas of fitness and exercise, nutrition and weight management, stress management, and general health education.
    • BHIP (Bruin Health Improvement Program) Onramp: Strength & Conditioning
      • The Bruin Health Improvement Program (BHIP) OnRamp is a three-month program—exclusively for UCLA faculty and staff at no cost (for first time participants)—offering participants intensive lifestyle training in areas of exercise, nutrition, stress management and mental conditioning.
    • BHIP (Bruin Health Improvement Program) .5
      • The Bruin Health Improvement Program (BHIP).5 is a three-month physical and mindfulness conditioning program designed to increase the fitness and thereby the health of the UCLA Employee. BHIP .5 is a customized program for those who are 50 or more pounds overweight and/or severely sedentary. It is funded by UCLA and is a tremendous investment in UCLA’s most precious resource: the staff and faculty.

  • UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC)
    • The Mindful Awareness Research Center is a partner of the Norman Cousins Center for Psychoneuroimmunology within the Jane and Terry Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior at UCLA. MARC’s mission is to foster mindful awareness across the lifespan through education and research to promote well-being and a more compassionate society.

      • offers classes and workshops to the general public, teaching the skills of mindfulness across the lifespan
      • fosters and publicizes research to support the scientific benefits of mindful awareness
      • brings mindfulness to professionals through UCLA’s medical education program-including doctors, medical students, staff and faculty
      • offers mindfulness tools and classes to support mental health professionals
