Academic Personnel

Academic Personnel provides all personnel and payroll services for academic employees* in the Psychology Department including the following:

  • Preparation and analysis of faculty dossiers for promotion and merit cases
  • Coordination of the Faculty Search process, including travel arrangements and scheduling visits
  • Process hiring papers for new hires and re-hires in academic appointments
  • Process sabbatical/leave of absence requests and maintains sabbatical balances
  • Payroll processing for all academic personnel
  • Benefits counseling
  • Process visa and appointments for Visiting Scholars

* Academic employees includes Ladder Faculty, Joint & Split Appointed Faculty, Professional Researchers, Adjunct Faculty, Lecturers, Academic Administrators/Coordinators.

Human Resources

Staff Personnel and Payroll provides services for faculty, staff, and students for matters including the following:

  • Processing hiring paperwork for new hires and re-hires
  • Benefit counseling
  • Coordinating with faculty with recruitment and hiring practices
  • Compliance with University policies and labor agreements
  • Payroll processing (i.e. time-sheets, leave accrual, etc.)

Office Hours

Monday through Friday: 10:00am - 4:00pm
Our office closes daily between 12:00pm - 1:00pm

Notification of CA EITC Required by AB 1847

Per instruction from UCOP regarding the passage of AB 1847, we are notifying all employees that they may be eligible for the Federal or California EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit), which can be applied to your 2016 tax filing.
