Ariana Bell receives The Clara Leplin & Beatrice Rasof Fellowship Fund

Professor Carrie Bearden’s Research Receives Media Attention

A study by UCLA researchers, including Professor Carrie Bearden, published in the Journal of Neuroscience, is being prominently featured on UCLA’s home page and the UCLA Newsroom. The researchers found brain differences between people with a specific genetic risk for schizophrenia and those at risk for autism, and the findings could help explain the biological underpinnings of these neuropsychiatric disorders.

The award is funded from a gift endowment established by the late Edward A. Dickson, Regent of the University of California from 1913 to 1946, to honor outstanding research, scholarly work, teaching, and service performed by an Emeritus or Emerita Professor since retirement.

Psychology Staff Spotlight - Bobby Chan

Bobby wears many hats in our IT unit: CCLE course website administrator and point of contact for faculty who use CCLE, computer lab operations specialist, and IT special projects liaison. His regular and timely assistance with CCLE course websites is important for the faculty and students who rely on information posted there daily, but Bobby is also interested in seeking to expand the use and capabilities of CCLE. He is part of a small task force that piloted and promoted the use of REEF polling within the CCLE environment.
