Introducing Engage Well – a new addition to the Healthy Campus Initiative focused on social well-being
Date published: 9/19/2017
This fall, Professors Ted Robles and Chris Dunkel Schetter will be launching a new "pod" in the Healthy Campus Initiative focused on promoting healthy social relationships at UCLA.
Informed by the evidence base and in collaboration with faculty, staff, students, and organizations across campus, Engage Well will encourage civility, acceptance, and inclusiveness among people; and help foster new social connections and enhance the quality of established connections.
The Healthy Campus Initiative is supported by Jane and Terry Semel, and has the goal of making UCLA the healthiest campus in the nation. The existing pods focus on supporting healthy food (Eat Well), physical activity (Move Well and Be Well), clean air (Be Well and Breathe Well), and mental well-being (Mind Well) on campus.
