In November 2014, California Deputy Attorney General Leif Dautch and Prof. Paul Abramson of our Department proposed that the new Affirmative Consent law regarding sexual behavior for California college campuses was too little, too late.

They argued for the teaching of consent issues to junior high and high school students. In response to their advocacy, California Governor Jerry Brown has just signed into law the requirement of teaching about consent in high school. Their original article and an article about Jerry Brown's signing are available here:
