Description of Organization and Population Served: 
Alternatives Behavioral Health, LLC is an outpatient treatment center for addictive behaviors. Alternatives was founded by Dr. Adi Jaffe, a UCLA graduate and Dr. Marc Kern, Alternatives' Clinical Director. The program utilizes evidence-based treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Neurofeedback to serve adult clients with a primary chemical dependency diagnosis. The majority of clients struggle primarily with alcohol use disorder, but there is significant variability in primary drug of choice.
Description of Fieldwork Project and Responsibilities of Intern: 
Interns gain experience in the clinical mental health field by interacting with clinicians, administrators and clients. Interns help in administering assessments to clients, aid in data collection and record-keeping, collect and manage research data, and contribute to and produce original research using that data. Interns also gain an understanding of drug testing procedures, and receive close mentorship from clinicians, research coordinators, and Dr. Jaffe.
Special Qualifications: 
Interns must have strong interpersonal skills, be able to collaborate effectively with peers on research projects, have passed Psychological Statistics (100A) or equivalent, and have working knowledge of SPSS statistics software.
Hourly Commitment Per Week:
