Description of Organization and Population Served: 
Board Certified Psychiatrist in Private Practice serving Children, Adolescents and Adults. Dynamic and busy practice with an average of 6 to 10 consultations a day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM. Therapeutic approach is Client Centered, Strength-Based, Solution Focused with Positive Psychology. Allopathic (conventional) psychopharmacology and Clinical Homeopathy (alternative) are both practiced. Wednesday is the administration day. Main population seen: Young adults males and females between 25 and 32 year-old, mostly professionals. Special Interest of Practice: Adult and Child ADHD treatment. SolutionFocused Brief Therapy, System Family Therapy, conventional and alternative medications may be prescribed.
Description of Fieldwork Project and Responsibilities of Intern: 
Fieldwork Project: The "in and out running" of a High Scale Mental Health Private Practice. Responsibilities of Intern are Interactive with patients and Administrative: 1/ Interactive between Patients and Office Communication: The Intern will learn how to carefully handle and prepare patients for their consultation. How to answer the phone for any requests, patients, pharmacy, doctors, etc.; learning how to take new consultation requests, how to schedule and prepare both initial evaluations and follow-up consultations, how to respond to patients emails, how to welcome patients on site before and after their Doctor's visits 2/ Administrative: Learning how to oversee all general office operations on a daily basis. Oversee daily office schedule, including patient load for Doctor. Specific duties include: Preparing patients charts, learning how to prepare and complete patient's invoices. Learning how to bill insurances electronically. Calling patients the day before to remind them of appointments as needed. Insure cleanliness and aesthetics of office. Handle coordination and order of office supplies and homeopathy medications. Learning how to complete all daily/weekly/monthly income/expense reports.
Special Qualifications: 
Professional attire and clean grooming without strong fragrance or perfume, are requested at all times (jeans, sport shoes, flip-flops, short pants, mini skirts, cleavage, uncovered arms, visible tatoos are prohibited). Intern should have excellent writing skills and be interested by gaining exposure and experience on the details of a Clinical Private Practice. Special interest and knowledge in Social Media would be a must. Working in a real-life environment is a better way to learn more about such a specialized field. Intern should be enthusiastic with a passion for learning and excellence in all areas of her/his work. Flexibity and ability to oversee multiple and diverse tasks, patients, and projects on a daily basis are requested. Should be able to work under pressure and prioritize on-going tasks alongside daily responsibilities. Is able to take initiative and solve issues that may arise throughout the day. Has exceptional patient/customer service skills, and personable phone presence. Maintains a friendly and professional demeanor and appearance at all times. Has computer skills, including fluency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Quickbooks). Has absolute discretion with patients and office information.
