Research and Teaching Interests:

I am primarily a theoretician. I create narrative and mathematical models of human sexuality. I’m working on my 12th book, plus a series of public policy articles on topics such as affirmative consent, the protection of sexual rights, and articulating the residuum of sexual harm. Recently, I’ve also waded into the waters of medical humanities, art and trauma in particular. How do artworks, vitalized by descriptive input, illuminate the psychological sequelae of tragedy?
