Nimrat Brar

We are happy to announce that Nimrat Brar, our Clinic Lab Assistant, has been selected to receive the Psychology Staff Spotlight award for this quarter for her exceptional work in our Psychology Clinic. Since beginning here in August of 2021, Nimrat has shown truly exceptional performance across a number of dimensions and has greatly facilitated the development of our hybrid clinic functions. She has excelled in learning and mastering the foundational competencies of her job despite the many shifts the Clinic has undergone in recent months as we move from remote to hybrid operations. Because clients can now receive services either in-person or via telehealth, our operations have become far more complex. As the main staff member overseeing client documentation, she has been instrumental in identifying ways to improve the efficiency and accuracy of clinic workflows. Her attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills have been a significant asset for the Clinic both from the perspectives of patient care and risk management. She has been exceptionally flexible in the coverage of Clinic needs while we have undergone repeated shifts in our staffing, often taking on additional responsibilities in order to ensure that our day-to-day operations could continue.

She is deeply committed to the dual missions of the Clinic, both supporting student learning and facilitating access to evidence-based services for underserved populations in Los Angeles. She is supportive, kind, enthusiastic, and solution-oriented in her interactions with graduate students, Clinic staff, and clients.

Congratulations on this recognition and thank you for all your hard work and dedication, Nimrat!
