Psychology Staff Spotlight Award – Sam O’Grady

Date published: 04/02/24

We are happy to announce that Sam O’Grady has been selected to receive the Psychology Staff Spotlight award for this quarter. Sam started his tenure at IDP as an ADP intern in spring 2019, transitioning into a work-study role until the temporary closure of IDP in 2020, later returning as a floater teacher in December 2021 and advancing to the position of primary teacher in July 2022. Sam is an extremely conscientious and dedicated teacher. He takes initiative in all aspects of his position, from the daily care of the children to the overall classroom environment. Sam always puts the children first and takes great care to ensure smooth transitions for new members of our IDP community. Sam’s hard work is readily apparent in the gold room as he completes monthly documentation for the classroom, including beautiful art installations made by the children. He ensures the environment is properly labeled for the children and completes all documentation necessary for our ADP students to be able to learn in the classroom environment. Sam is an excellent role model and mentor for our ADP interns. Thank you, Sam, for all you do to make IDP the special place that it is!
