Babysitting Resources and Requests

The UCLA Infant Development Program’s (IDP) primary mission is to offer high quality child care and serve as a teaching and research facility. As a result of the connection between the IDP and the Applied Developmental Psychology Program Minor (ADP), the students who have completed the ADP minor are highly qualified to provide child care services to parents. We have asked our current students and alumni to register and create accounts on the caregiving websites listed below, where they will have public profiles accessible to all families and we strongly suggest that families seeking additional care contact these websites and search for students in the ADP minor at UCLA. Please use the key words: “Applied Developmental (ADP) minor, intern” for a refined search for our students.

Currently UCLA employees can use UCLA Affiliates Select Plus, or Sitter City, as a web based resource for parents in need of additional care for after school, school vacations, extended work hours, special needs children, and last-minute care needs. UCLA compensates current employees for the membership to Sitter City. Please go to the following websites for more information:  www.careadvantage.com/universityofcalifornia

If you are not a UCLA affiliate, please remember that all ADP students are encouraged to create public profiles on Sittercity,  Care.com, or Urban Sitter as additional resources for parents in need of child care. For more information please go to:

We hope this information provides families with additional resources for caregiving requests beyond the mission of the Infant Development Program.
