Logging in

Please submit a helpdesk request to obtain the login link if you do not already have it. It will bring up the standard UCLA Logon form. This login process will allow you to edit existing content on the website.

Editing your faculty page

The main faculty page web address is https://www.psych.ucla.edu/faculty

The web address of your faculty page is www.psych.ucla.edu/faculty-page/logon-id where logon-id is your UCLA Logon ID.

Visit your page and click the [Edit Data for Faculty] link. This will open the page editor window. 
Note: if you don’t see the [Edit Data for Faculty] link, make sure you are logged in.

Updating or deleting your photo

To upload a new photo

  1. Scroll to the Picture section of the page editor.
  2. Click the Replace Image button.
  3. Click on Upload files tab on the top of the new window -> Select Files -> Open -> Add Image.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page editor and click the Submit button to save your changes.

To delete an existing photo

  1. Scroll to the Picture section of the page editor.
  2. Click on the X.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page editor and click the Submit button to save your changes.

Updating your Biography, Research and Teaching Interests or Representative Publications sections.

  1. Scroll to the relevant section of the page editor.
  2. Add to, edit, or remove content using the WYSIWYG editor.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page editor and click the Submit button to save your changes.

Formatting tips

To use the formatting toolbar, select (highlight) the text you want to format, and click the appropriate formatting icon. For example, to make text bold, select the text in question and click the B icon.

Uploading documents (PDF or Word)

  1. Scroll to the relevant file upload section of the page editor.
  2. Click the Upload or select file button.
  3. Click on Upload files tab on the top of the new window -> Select Files -> Open -> Add File button. 
    Note: for optimal viewing, consider converting your Microsoft Word files to PDF. For help converting files to PDF, please submit a helpdesk request.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page editor and click the Submit button to save your changes.

Creating a link to your external or lab website

  1. Scroll to the URL of External or Lab Site section of the page editor.
  2. Paste in the web address of the external site. 
    Note: the http:// or https:// is required here to make this link work properly.
  3. Your link also needs a description. This is the text visitors will click on to activate the link.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the page editor and click the Submit button to save your changes.
