Research by Professor Martin Monti, first-authored by Psychology graduate student Joshua Cain, published in the journal Brain Stimulation, is being prominently featured on the UCLA Newsroom.
In 2016, a team led by Professor Monti reported that a 25-year-old man recovering from a coma had made remarkable progress following a treatment to jump-start his brain using ultrasound. Now, Professor Monti and his colleagues report that two more patients with severe brain injuries have made impressive progress thanks to the same technique. The article titled “Scientists jump-start two people’s brains after coma” is available at the UCLA Newsroom.
