Research and Teaching Interests:
Efrén Pérez is Full Professor of Political Science and Psychology. His research centers on political psychology, with specific interests in racial and ethnic politics, language and political thinking, implicit political cognition, and the measurement of political concepts. He has published numerous articles in leading political science and general science journals, including Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, American Journal of Political Science, Journal of Politics, Political Behavior, and Political Psychology. He is also the author of an award-winning book titled, Unspoken Politics: Implicit Attitudes and Political Thinking (Cambridge University Press). Beyond his research, Efrén directs the Race, Ethnicity, Politics, and Society (REPS) Lab.
