Robin Blades (Health Area) for received the 2026 Health Psychology Paper Prize, awarded to the best paper in the area, for her paper titled “Neural mechanisms of mindfulness: reduced neural reactivity to social-evaluative threat accounts for mindfulness intervention effects on inflammatory gene expression.” The paper was recently published in Brain, Behavior, and Immunity and contributes novel findings about the neural mechanisms underlying the beneficial effects of mindfulness on markers of inflammation.
