Congratulations to Associate Professor Jaimie Krems for receiving the 2026 Ig Nobel Peace Prize for her paper, published in Evolution and Human Behavior, titled “Sometimes we want vicious friends: People have nuanced preferences for how they want their friends to behave toward them versus others.” Established in 1991 as a satirical version of the Nobel Prize, the Ig Nobel Prizes honor achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think.
