(c) no current psychotropic medication other than those that can be safely discontinued for brief washout prior to scanning (e.g., stimulants)

Purpose

The Purpose of the SEAS Study is to learn more about the transition from childhood into adulthood. Specifically, we want to learn more about what factors can help encourage early adult success, as well as how to brain changes during early adulthood.

Involvement

SEAS is a three year study, in which participants will complete

  1. Three annual zoom lab sessions (1.5 hours each): Participants will answer questions about how they think, feel, and act in everyday life, and take part in an interview with a member of our team.
  2. Year 1 and Year 3 MRI visits (1.5 hours each): Participants will come to UCLA’s campus to undergo a fMRI scan. In the scan participants will watch videos and play games.
  3. Quarterly checkins (15 mins each): Participants will complete short surveys about themselves every three months for the duration of the study.

With participant permission, we will also send 5 minute surveys for caregivers to complete once a year.
