Fieldwork in Cognitive Science

To recruit undergraduate Cognitive Science majors to serve as interns, please submit the Psychology 195B Description of Fieldwork Position form below. Once your site is reviewed, an advisor from the Psychology Undergraduate Advising Office will notify the supervisor listed as the contact. If your listing is approved, your post will be added to the fieldwork listings on our website. Note that the review process can take several weeks. New fieldwork sites must be submitted for review prior to the beginning of the quarter in which a student proposes to work there.

Psychology 195B offers Cognitive Science majors the opportunity to work (paid or non-paid) for course credit in a fieldwork setting in the area of Cognitive Science and earn 4 units of upper division, non-graded course credits for the experience. Students must complete a Psych 195B Learning Contract and Supplemental Form and submit it to the Psychology Advising Office via MyUCLA Message Center by Friday of Week 1. They are then required to intern a minimum of 7 hours per week for the 10-week quarter (summer enrollees are required to intern a minimum of 68 hours over the 6-week session) and attend a one-hour weekly meeting, arranged by the fieldwork supervisor.
